The beauty of your smile.

Nowadays, beautiful teeth mean both attractiveness and health and well-being. Blemishes that impair the general impression and disturb the harmony of teeth and gums can be gently corrected. From bleaching to veneers and full ceramic restoration, to recession coverage and gummy smile treatment, many dental treatment possibilities are available to optimize the appearance of your teeth.

A harmonious and esthetic overall picture – of white (tooth) and red (gums) – can be established today at the highest level using innovative technologies and a suitable choice of materials that have a low impact on the teeth. The results are maximum function and esthetic perfection.

The “red” esthetics (gums) are of particular importance for the naturalness of a smile . The gums can be predictably corrected and improved for the long-term by adding or reducing through periodontal procedures (Esthetic Plastic Periodontal Surgery / Periodontal Esthetics).

“White“ esthetics (teeth) include color, form and position corrections of the teeth, which can be corrected on a long-term basis using advanced methods:

"White" esthetics methods

Something to smile about.

Brilliantly white teeth with professional bleaching.

Unpleasant internal discolorations of the teeth are not only a consequence of our lifestyle habits, like smoking, drinking coffee or red wine. They can also be the result of accidents or root treatments. In this case, bleaching is the method of choice. Tooth whitening can remove such blemishes gently and permanently.

Bleaching can now be done with modern methods and is a pain-free procedure that is gentle on the teeth; it can be done in a short time either at home with a tray (home bleaching) or in the dentist’s office (office bleaching). With this treatment above-average tooth whitening can be achieved.

The cleanliness and health of your teeth and/or gums are conditions for a successful bleaching. Therefore a professional teeth cleaning must take place before the actual appointment for bleaching.

A gentle and modern bleaching makes tooth whitening possible without long-term damage and without a loss of substance.

Substance preservation using innovative technologies.

High-tech composite materials (plastic-ceramic mixture) today make possible defect-oriented and loadable fillings made from tooth-colored plastic. A strong and long-lasting bond with the tooth by means of special adhesive techniques (dentin bonding technology) is a requirement in this case.

Simple composite fillings are a standard treatment for our team. Highly esthetic invisible fillings, however, require a high degree of skill, precision work and the use of high-quality bonding and composite materials. As a result, restorations can be made to the front and side tooth area in the direct or indirect process.

We match the form and color of the filling exactly to your natural tooth; it is practically undetectable in the mouth. Ceramic filling is modeled directly in the mouth and is loadable immediately after the treatment.

Even fragment and break damage to the enamel or large interdental spaces in the front tooth area can be corrected (cosmetic contouring).

Given the special material properties, corrections or repairs to existing, damaged composite restorations or where the color has altered are also possible. Tooth preservation is paramount!

Perfect shell, real core.

Thin ceramic shells, so-called veneers, can make a perfect set of teeth even from badly misshapen, worn or permanently discolored teeth. Veneers are individually made and bonded perfectly with the tooth. The natural tooth is preserved under the veneer. The form and color of the ceramic shells are selected in such a way as to create a harmonious overall picture. Even professionals cannot differentiate it from a natural tooth afterward.

Different types of veneers, e.g. non-prep veneers or minimally invasive methods are constantly talked about in the media. This means the tooth is not prepared (non-prep) or only slightly prepared (minimally invasive) for the veneer. Which variant is applicable for you is individually dependent and is decided after a suitable diagnosis.

Full ceramic restorations / Dental prostheses

Precision combined with high-quality materials.

Modern prosthetic dentistry – the substitution of missing teeth or tooth substances – combines high-quality dental materials with innovative technologies.

Predictable, substance-preserving treatment strategies and long-lasting dental prostheses are thus possible!

Precision, accuracy of fit and biological compatibility are to be regarded here as the basis for a long-term optimal tooth restoration and your maximum satisfaction.

Whether inlay, partial crown, crown, dental bridge, dental prosthesis, implant crown or implant bridge – only intensive co-operation with internationally renowned dental technicians can ensure functional-esthetic perfection.

Inlays, partial crowns, crowns

Long-term preservation of lost tooth substance.

If larger tooth surfaces or parts must be replaced, a “simple” filling is not usually sufficient. In this case, inlays, onlays or crowns are used.

In our practice, all tooth restorations are exclusively defect-oriented manufactured – the preservation of the healthy tooth substance is of the utmost priority! A condition for this is the selection of the most modern production technologies and dental materials.

What is an inlay? – An inlay is an insert made of gold or ceramic created in a laboratory. The high-end alternative to a filling. An inlay can be made whenever sufficiently net tooth substance remains after removing caries or an old filling. The healthy and sturdy external walls of the tooth are preserved.

What is a partial crown or a crown? – A partial crown (or onlay) should be made whenever the external walls of your tooth are not stable enough for an inlay or your tooth already has an older (partial) crown. The new partial crown or crown then partly or completely covers the external walls of your tooth. Gold and modern ceramic are used for this purpose.

How does the treatment proceed? – For the preparation of your restorations we usually need 2-3 appointments. This depends on form, function and esthetics. Time however is not a factor. The focus is only on the result.

At your first appointment the tooth is cleaned, old restorations removed and the tooth is prepared for the new restoration and precisely cast. Freedom from pain is a must for every treatment. An accurate interim solution protects your tooth until the next appointment.

In the dental laboratory, your individual restoration is created with various production techniques (e.g. CAD/CAM or pressing processes). An interim sample may make sense for various reasons.

Both the production of the tooth restoration as well as the perfect processing and compliance with each individual treatment step during installation (bonding/cementing) pose special challenges. Adhesive attachment using a coffer dam (a special clamping rubber) is required for a lasting result.

Root canal treatment

A new future for your tooth.

In the event of extensive destruction of the tooth substance, a bacterial infection and inflammation of the tooth nerve can occasionally occur. With a pain-free root treatment under the microscope, with precise cleaning, expansion and disinfection of the inside of the tooth, the inflammation can be healed completely.

Modern root canal filling materials and treatment technologies make possible a bacteria-free sealing of the tooth and prevent re-infection. If a previous root canal treatment is not successful or if an incomplete root canal filling must be replaced, then we speak of a root canal revision.

Work with an operating microscope is absolutely necessary. It offers optimal illumination and magnification during the root canal treatment.

We generally refer our patients to another specialist for root canal treatments.

Functional therapy

Stability and balance in the masticatory system.

If our masticatory system with teeth, masticatory muscles, jaw-bones and temporo-mandibular joints functions smoothly, then we have no discomfort.

However, should there be any functional disturbances in our craniomandibular system, these can manifest themselves in various ways. Temporomandibular joint problems, tooth grinding and pressing, head, neck and back pain can result and impair your well-being.

Suitable functional diagnostic measures are required to be able to detect deviations in the masticatory system and treat them.

In individual cases of dental reconstruction, targeted functional therapy (pre-)treatments are inevitably and medically necessary for stable and balanced chewing. Customized splint therapy is usually the most effective and most sensible solution.

We co-operate closely in an interdisciplinary fashion with other specialists – e.g. physiotherapists, osteopaths and pain therapists.
